Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI) Research Grant- CCTSI awards are available during the summer to CU Boulder undergraduates who are traditionally underrepresented in the sciences interested in gaining experience in a clinical, translational or basic research lab at the University of Colorado at Denver Anschutz Medical Center and its affiliates. http://www.colorado.edu/Outreach/BSI/undergrad/cctsi.html

DEBUT: DEsign by Biomedical Undergraduate Teams - A competition for undergraduate students to foster the design and development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic devices, and technologies to aid underserved populations and the disabled is being sponsored by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), part of the National Institutes of Health. The Design by Biomedical Undergraduate Teams (DEBUT) Challenge is part of NIBIB’s efforts to build, strengthen, and prepare the future workforce of biomedical engineers. http://debut.challenge.gov/

NIST- Engage in research at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder through PREP (Professional Research Experience Program). Go to www.boulder.nist.gov for more information about the types of research conducted at NIST. Applicable majors include most Engineering departments, Biochemistry, Chemistry and Physics. Undergraduate Pre-Health Program- UPP is a program for students interested in careers in the health care professions. One of the primary goals of UPP is to increase the number of historically underrepresented individuals with the health care professions for the purpose of reducing health disparities among underserved communities in Colorado. www.ucdenver.edu/UPP
